christening this with a belated delivery!

[ Throughout the month of March, Will will find various packages outside his doorstep and inside his mailbox. All addressed to him, with handwriting that's barely legible.

If Apollo had learned anything from his time at the Waystation, it was to make the most of the time he had with Will - and to create his own light, rather than usher in darkness and doom and gloom. So he figures, he might as well buy gifts with the money he has and send them all Will's way.

These are given pretty much every day, with one coming after another:

1. an AP Biology exam prep book (with a notecard inside that says "The bookseller told me this would be important for you!")
2. a gold arrow pull chain bracelet (with another note, "Because I could.")
3. a giant 6 foot tall teddy bear. This one was its own package, and honestly - it was probably a struggle to get through the door.
4. a bouquet of flowers! Because that says fatherly love, right?
5. a set of medical scrubs. Comfy ones too, and another note, "I was told that doctors prefer these over all others. Hope you'll feel the same way."
6. a "world's best son" mug. No note this time.
7. a whole month of food delivery from what may be one of the most hipster services around. Just to make sure Will's staying well-fed! They're not exactly at Camp Half-Blood anymore, etc!!
8. finally, another mug: "officially the coolest sun in the world." even has a cute sun motif! ]

[ Given how hectic these loops feel, Lester knows that Will's probably busier than he can imagine - and yet, before he heads off into space to help with the missiles, he figures he should do the Decent Dad thing and tell him. ]

Hey, so... [ Words. How are they failing him now? ] Blue Beetle asked for help, and I decided I was going to do what I could. I used to fly the sun, gods above - surely disarming a missile can't be harder.

But I wanted you to know you're doing great down there, making sure everyone's safe, and um - [ "If I don't see you again..." ] Save me some food when I get back, okay?

[He isn't even sure if his call is going to go through. He was tempted to give his dad a piece of his mind about how insane this was. The risks, the possibilities of this all going to Hades--or worse. But he has a feeling Lester knows. For a former god, he was becoming quite the hero.

So, regardless of whether it's the voicemail that picks up, or his dad, Will's going to try his best to be supportive.]

Be careful up there...Missles might be a bit more complicated than the sun. [And considering how things have gone, it was definitely more explosive.]

When [If...] you get back...we'll hit the town, my treat this time.

Hello Will,
I want to reach out to you first to thank you once again for your generous offer to help me; I don't take such gestures lightly, as I know all of us have endured such a trying time. It's not just me struggling. So...thank you. You're very kind.
In light of that, though, I do want to let you know that there's no need to search anymore. My wayward cousin has returned! He's safe and well.
All the same, please let me know if there's anything I may do to return the generosity you saw fit to give me; a chance to be better acquainted, perhaps. I'll leave the deciding to you.
In the meanwhile, I hope this week treats you kindly. Goodness knows we all need some peace.

[Visitors that didn't just walk in through the door like they lived there were a rarity in Will's living situation. So knocks at their door? Foreign and definitely something to investigate. Even if that means investigating in the pajamas he had been lounging around in.
